For 2013, Motorcraft® and the Ford Shelby® Mustang Nitro Funny Car take on the competition in what’s proving to be a truly competitive season of NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing.
It’s a heritage rich in power and performance. Ford and racing go back to the turn of the 20th century when Henry Ford himself won the first and only race in 1901. The win helped convince businessmen to invest in his new venture: Ford Motor Company.
This year, Motorcraft,® Quick Lane® Tire and Auto Center and FordParts.com will appear again on the Ford Shelby® Mustang Nitro Funny Car, driven and owned by Bob Tasca III. The Funny Car will also sport a bold, new red and white “Motorcraft® Legacy” paint scheme. It’s the first time since 1993 that the NHRA and NASCAR® entries race in matching paint schemes. Tasca and his champion-caliber team plan to make 2013 an exciting championship year at NHRA.
